Let’s Talk About What Support Would Help Most

Meet Todd Adams

Personal Story

I created Adams Trusted Support after experiencing firsthand how challenging it can be to help aging parents while also balancing work, family, and everyday responsibilities. Many families want to do more, but distance, time, and life demands can make it hard to be everywhere at once.

I saw that many people do not need full-time care. They often need something much simpler and much more human: a trustworthy local person who can check in, help with practical needs, notice when something has changed, and bring peace of mind to everyone involved.

That is why Adams Trusted Support was created.

What I Believe

I believe receiving help should never mean losing dignity or independence. Many older adults can continue living comfortably at home when the right support is available at the right time.

Sometimes the biggest stress does not come from major problems. It comes from small things piling up: errands that are harder than they used to be, worries that go unchecked, home tasks that get postponed, or family members trying to manage everything from far away.

My goal is to make life feel steadier, simpler, and more supported.

Background & Experience

My background includes project management, customer communication, practical problem-solving, and years of working directly with people in real-world situations where trust, follow-through, and clear communication matter.

Those experiences taught me how valuable it is when someone does what they say they will do, communicates clearly, and handles challenges with calm professionalism.

That is the standard I bring to every family I serve.

Personal Note

I understand that inviting someone into a family situation requires trust. It is not a small decision. My promise is to treat every person with respect, communicate clearly, and provide the kind of dependable support I would want for my own family.

Because I saw how many families need practical local help before they ever need full-time care.

No. Adams Trusted Support is a non-medical practical support service.

Yes. This is a personally operated local business

Adams Trusted Support is a non-medical practical support service for older adults and their families. We help with check-ins, errands, home visits, family updates, home readiness tasks, and dependable local support that makes everyday life easier and gives families greater peace of mind.

Our services are designed for older adults who want to remain independent, families who live out of town, adult children balancing work and caregiving, and anyone who needs a trusted local person to help with practical everyday needs.

No. We do not provide nursing care, medication administration, bathing, dressing, lifting, toileting, wound care, or medical advice. We are a non-medical support service focused on practical help and peace of mind.

Not at this time. We currently focus on in-home support, errands, check-ins, and practical local assistance.

We proudly serve Kalamazoo and nearby communities. If you are unsure whether your location is within our service area, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss options.

After scheduled visits, we can provide a simple update by text or email summarizing how the visit went, tasks completed, and whether any concerns or follow-up needs were noticed.

Yes. We can discuss the best communication plan for your family during onboarding.

A check-in visit may include a friendly conversation, general observation of how things are going, a visual home status check, light practical support, mail or porch check, and noting any concerns that should be shared with family.

Common errands may include grocery pickup, post office visits, small shopping trips, returns, or other simple practical tasks. If you have a specific request, just ask.

A home status check is a visual look at the home environment for obvious concerns such as unusual clutter changes, visible leaks, mail buildup, safety concerns, or routine household issues that may need attention.

Home Readiness support focuses on small preventive tasks that help life at home run more smoothly. This may include replacing easy-access batteries, filter changes, seasonal reminders, and noticing small issues before they become larger problems.

That is one of our core goals. Many people do not need full-time care. Small practical supports at the right time can make everyday life easier and help older adults remain comfortable and independent at home for longer.

This depends on the plan you choose and your family’s needs. Some families need monthly support, while others prefer more frequent visits.

Membership plans are the best value and provide consistent support, but we may also offer select one-time or add-on services depending on availability.

Yes. Many families begin with light support and increase services only if needs change over time.

That is common. We often frame support as convenience, backup, and making life easier rather than taking independence away. Many people are more open to support when it is presented respectfully.

If we notice that needs appear to be beyond our service scope, we will communicate that clearly and may suggest exploring additional resources or care options.

Monthly plans are typically billed automatically each month. Add-on services may be billed separately. Final billing details will be shared before services begin.

Yes. Many families we serve may live outside the Kalamazoo area and need a trusted local person nearby to help support a parent and keep them informed.

We are not an emergency response service. In urgent or emergency situations, families should contact 911 or the appropriate emergency provider immediately.

Yes, depending on scheduling and plan level, we may be able to provide vendor wait visits or delivery presence visits.

Start times depend on schedule availability, service area, and your family’s needs. Contact us and we will do our best to help promptly.
